Getting hard to be creative with titles......but updated for the end of the week

but here is a mid-week report (actually an end of the week revision). Last week was a shorter workweek for the builders, with Thanksgiving and cold and all. The propane guys came to bury the line from the house to the tank, but the ground was too frozen already. So, a little creativity on the location marking....

Yesterday the siding was delivered, so we needed to take a peek at it:

And today was spent building the front porch deck:

And one last end of the week picture.....stairs going up the front. Didn't get the picture of the kitchen deck going on.

Midweek report - fireplace and whirlpool

 The exterior isn't changing a lot any more, just small, incremental changes. The decking is slowly taking shape, the building paper is almost all up, and the soffits and fascia boards.

 The interior is coming along. This morning the fireplace installation started:

 The whirlpool in the master bath was brought in. Now we can work some more on design!

Decks going on, doors arrived!

And the excitement is increasing....the doors arrived from Idaho! The white one is the balcony door, the other is one of the interior doors (probably the one for the piano room). Now we have some work to do....all of them need to be finished!

Mostly interior

This week has been busy with heating and plumbing. Mostly interior work, although some more building paper going on:

Shingles are all done! Garage doors are on!

Wednesdays work

It's getting dark earlier now, so it gets a little hard to catch what was done during a day. Wednesday they were working on the roof some ore--should be done by Thursday?

The stairs are now in, both up and down. Finally we can get upstairs without climbing a ladder. We can also go to the basement without going outside. I love the turn in the landing!

End of the week, and a rare Sunday work-day

First off, here's a couple of views from the end of the week. The fire number was put in at somepoint, so these are from the road:

Then on Friday and Sunday Jeremy the excavator came by. First he enlarged the pond across the road and used the fill for the front yard. Then on Sunday all of the dirt piles disappeared into a flat yard? First views without the pile of black dirt in front!

These last two are for Scott. He's been itching to see out of the upstairs loft windows. Well, they opened up today and you can see Cedar Gables pretty nicely!
