Not much has changed on the exterior this past week. It's been a combination of the Christmas holiday and cold. The building inspector was in for the electrical and structural, so interior work was being modified. Plumbing is being worked on in the basement. Insulation has been delivered, so that is going in soon. Debra & I also spent a late afternoon at the lumber mill that will be doing our trim. Lots of choices!
The first shot is the standard "here is the situation today" shot from the edge of the field. The second shot is the view from Cedar Gables:
If you look closely you can see Gen & Aaron's house in the background as well.

Distant shots in the snow
It's December in Wisconsin, so that means 2-4" of new snow. A day for Builder Bruce to stay in his workshop where there is heat!

End of the week view of doors and decking.....
The front 8 ft round-top maple door frame has been installed as well as the trim-work around the door and round-top windows. Bruce is doing a great job customizing these!
Here are the doors in the basement at Cedar Gables, warming up in preparation to be urethaned:
And the standard shot from the path between the two houses:

End of the week....siding and another (small) roof
Here's some pictures from the end of the week of 12/8:
Better explain this next one -- this is a "siding oven" to create the curves and round-tops for the windows and doors. The strim needs to be "baked" at 300 degrees for 30 minutes and then the curves formed. So, a plugger oven contraption!

Decks and siding!!!!!
The gazebo decking is shaping up:
Back porch decking is going on. Go, Dean, go!
The siding is going on...can start to get a sense for the color of the house...
And the exciting part....the balcony door was put in. We can finally get a sense for this space...
