The "jewels" for the curved windows and doors keystones were installed today. I love the way they add "bling" to the house. There are two in the foyer, one in Debra's office, and one in the piano room:
They are mirrored on the outside, but with painted keystones:

Snows a-falling, time to build a fire! Plus some panoramas.......
Late October in Wisconsin means snow showers. It also means I'm glad I have a wood-burner fireplace!
Look carefully for Debra waving from her office desk..
Finally, I discovered the panorama feature on my camera:
Gen & Aaron's way to the left, our new place in the middle, and (just barely) Cedar Gables (Dan & Melissa's) at the far right.

Balcony is done. Now just touchup painting and the exterior is DONE!!!!
Builder Bruce came today and finished off the "Juliet" balcony. The storm door is fixed and the doors have been tweaked. Only 2 more storm doors and gutters and the exterior is done. It's getting colder now, so a woodfire in the fireplace is coming soon....

We've moved, but we haven't moved in totally!
9-11 was moving day. Scott, Dan & Ben all helped moving the furniture, especially the piano. On 9-15 we formally moved out of Cedar Gables and the Dan Fam moved in. There are still a few minor items left to move over, mainly a computer and the related chair. Of course, the chickens are staying there until a new house is built.
And now the moving mess:
One final picture: the guitar display shelf. Each drawer will hold 2 guitars in their cases:

Pre-Labor Day Weekend
The stairway railings are going in and the 2nd floor bath is shaping up. Next week the rails will be done and hopefully the floors will get the final finishing. The building inspector finished his work today -- occupancy once the railing is completed and the balcony railing on.
EDO (expected date of occupancy) is now the weekend of the 6th!!!!

Sunday morning details
Work is progressing, albeit slowly. The front railings are all up, the kitchen porch railings are on their way, the gingerbread is up, and the remaining trimboards on the bump-outs have been painted. Debra & Jess York stained the concrete as well. Inside, the utility room is complete -- drywalled, mudded and painted. The laundry tub is in, and the central vacuum system is now complete. The work room is also drywalled and painted and ready to fit out with shelving.
We are now shooting for a September 1 move-in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
