Plants arrived and starting to go in

The plant shipment arrived somewhere around 3AM this morning, so we started planting them today. Here are a couple of the gardens/paths, both before and after:

Working on landscaping

Now that spring has really arrived we are starting in on the landscaping. Scott is doing a lot of the work. So far, the woodpiles have been moved (or burned up over the winter), the gullies smoothed out, and a parking pad put in. The walkway from the drive to the front door has been cleared, and today we rented an edger to get ready for putting in the garden bedding edges. Then will come the garden beds themselves with the planting and mulch followed by the  in-ground irrigation system and hydroseeding the grassy areas.

While that is being worked on I will be starting in on the chicken coop and a larger garden shed/summer kitchen.
